The first time I read Darkroom, Poppet's poetically crafted horror tale and the predecessor to Satanarium, I was floored. Never before in my life had I been so enthralled by an author's prose, by their talent for weaving such a visceral tale while still allowing you to bond and even sympathize with the characters. Keep eyewash in the darkroom in case chemicals get in your eyes and seek medical attention immediately. This is the first book that I have read by Poppet. I recommend Darkroom to anyone that enjoys a dark psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Ultimately,I must say that of all the Darkroom books,this one is by far my favourite. Poppet wraps everything up so nicely,I was extremely satisfied,actually I was more than satisfied,I was elated when I read the last page.
